Hyaluron Pen: what should you know about it

You might already come across a new trend Hyaluron Pen Lip Augmentation. At first glance, this Hyaluron pen seems to be safer than the traditional lip injection by a doctor. Many cosmetologists started to offer this procedure and a lot of DIY videos are gaining thousands of views on Youtube. In this article we will tell you what is a hyaluronic pen injection and which dangers can it bring?

How does a hyaluronic pen work?

A hyaluronic pen is a device that cosmetologists or doctors use to inject hyaluronic acid fillers into different face areas. Originally diabetic patients used to inject insulin via this needle-free pen. But recently it has become more often used by cosmetologists for facial injections.

Nowadays, there are many types of hyaluronic pens but all of them are based on the needle-free injection technology. This technology uses a high-pressure jet (at a speed of up to 800 km/h) to inject the skin and deliver hyaluronic acid under the upper layer of the skin.

What can be wrong with the Hyaluron Pen?

A problem of many doctors with the Hyaluron pen is misleading information and non-proven devices are out there. Moreover these devices are freely available on the Internet:

  • no-name hyaluronic acid in a set
  • missing information about an expiry date, storage and transport rules
  • not sure about guarantee that all products are sterile
  • no certification of many hyaluron pens

As you see above, there are many risks to buy a non-proven Hyaluron Pen. In addition, there is also another problem that I found out during my research. Some cosmetologists say that the Hyaluron pencil should inject the medication more evenly into the upper layers of the skin.

But pictures above will prove opposite. On the left side you see the promised effect from the Hyaluron Pen, but on the right side – the actual result. However, watch the video demonstration of the hyaluronic pen injection. You will see that the preparation is distributed in a slightly different way as it is in the picture above.

I’m concerned that there are hundreds of videos on youtube with instructions on how to use the hyaluronic pen. It means anyone can buy this device online and inject themselves with hyaluronic at home. In addition, some cosmetologists might perform procedures with the Hyaluron Pen by watching video tutorials on Youtube. All the accessibility and uncontrollability of these procedures can lead to an increase in side effects and mutilated patients.

Is it worth trying the needle-less lip augmentation?

Lip augmentation with the Hyaluron Pen might go wrong in many cases. Never try this or any other cosmetic treatments out of curiosity or to save money. It is not worth it. The aim of any good doctor is to inject just the right amount of hyaluronic acid in the right place. Unfortunately, the hyaluronic pen does not enable the flexibility to create and form lips that fit just to your face.

Above all, another side effect that comes from lip injection you can read on this post “Everything About Lip Filler Migration: Real Pictures of Patients”.
